To celebrate 30th friendship anniversary of Goethe-Institut in China, there will be a 30-hour non-stop "anniversary marathon" consisting of concerts, performances, installations, film screenings, lecture series and events for children on 17 - 18 November starting at 2pm at the Goethe-Institut Beijing in the "798" Art District.
Our Invasian China team ABS crew from Beijing will take part in one of the programmes Digital Calligraffiti on this Saturday at 11pm-3am. They will do a live "Calligraffiti" performance, which is a networked projection between Berlin and Beijing. The Chinese calligraffiti artists Andc and Scar will write on a drawing table - Infl3ctor, operated by media artist Michael Ang in Beijing. And the calligraffiti artists from Berlin Friendly : ) and Theosone, will interact and have their messages projected into Berlin’s urban space also at the same time in Beijing, with the support from the media artist Zoey Vero in Berlin.
The project is initiated by Public Art Lab and curated in cooperation with ‘From Here to Fame Publishing’ with the artists Michael Ang and Hamza Abu Ayyash who built the Infl3ctor originally in 2016.
If you will be in Beijing or Berlin that day, you are invited to write messages and draw tags with us. And if you will be in Beijing, that's even better, you can party on and continue the celebration until next day 9:30pm. Full programme list here.
